Associate Dean of Research Hensley-McBain Reports on TouroCOM - Montana Research Engagement

On October 20, 2025, Tiffany Hensley-McBain, MRI Director and Associate Dean of Research reported on student engagement in Research. The numbers are very significant with the majority of students engaged in research during some period of their education as Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine at the Montana campus and many students, coauthoring scientific publications.

Matthew Giovanni is a Touro student and an MSTP (Medical Science Training Program) student. He is doing a full year of research at the McLaughlin Research Institute/Weissman Hood Institute at Touro University.

o   83 students currently participating in registered projects (44 DO Class of 2027 Students, 39 DO Class of 2028 students)

o   25 students were reported as coauthors on publications 2024 – 2025 school year
